The name of Georgi Lozanov, a Bulgarian educator and psychologist, gained strength and recognition in the 70's of last century, thanks to the development of his theory on Suggestology - the science of suggestion - and Suggestopedia - a holistic teaching and learning method. The basic principles of Suggestopedia served as the basis for the creation of the methodology that is currently known as Accelerated Learning.
Accelerated Learning is a learning model based on the premise that the ability to learn and remember that human beings have is practically infinite. This methodology potentiates our brain capacity for learning, through the harmonious and comprehensive use of both cerebral hemispheres; by achieving this, students learn faster, better and with less effort than with any other conventional learning method.
“At TalentMind, we use the Accelerated Learning methodology in the design of our programs”.
By using this methodology we are allowed to connect, in a fast and effective way, with our participants, to have highly productive and participative learning sessions. We are convinced that, among other things, by using Accelerated Learning, it is possible to eliminate fear, self-censorship and negative thoughts in participants, characteristics that could limit their creativity and ability to learn.
When using Accelerated Learning, the subject of study takes a second place, and the student or participant, becomes the center of attention during the learning process. The facilitator, on the other hand, takes on a different role than the one we are traditionally used to, since he becomes a designer of learning experiences.
Accelerated Learning uses some key elements to facilitate the learning process. The knowledge of the brain functioning is a key aspect for this process, since it allows us to take advantage of techniques and methodologies that activate and make both cerebral hemispheres work in a harmonious and integral way.
“Another core element of Accelerated Learning is the proper understanding of Multiple Intelligences”.
Through different facilitation techniques, many of them can be stimulated, making the learning process much easier, faster and more fun. Music, painting, drawings, colors, shapes, textures and collaborative work are some of the tools that can be applied to incorporate this element to a training process.
Personal motivation plays a fundamental role when using this methodology. For the participant, the “ongoing learning” process consists of three key components: self-confidence, motivation, and personal expectations. To foster personal motivation, we focus on promoting shared learning and collaborative work. These two elements stimulate and encourage the participant to become the best version of himself. Collaborative learning activities allow participants to benefit from acting sometimes as mentors and sometimes as learners, by having the opportunity to develop their interpersonal relationships and creative talents. The exchange during an Accelerated Learning process, both individual and group learning are reinforced.
At TalentMind, we care about our clients' success. We constantly encourage participants to get the best of each workshop and that knowledge acquired has immediate application in their daily lives. Accelerated Learning offers numerous benefits, for participants: Continuous stimulation of senses makes the learning process more relaxed, both mentally and physically. Memory is widely developed and knowledge is retained for much longer.
“Accelerated Learning promotes a “stress-free” environment, participants increase their retention rate, reaching up to 88% after 6 months and 57% after 22 months”.
During an Accelerated Learning process, involvement and relationships between participants are greatly promoted, which allows creating a warm, trusting and conducive environment to develop learning.
